Description
Ethiopia is where coffee beans were first discovered. In approximately 9th century AD, legend has it that an Ethiopian goat herd called Kaldi noticed that his goats were dancing and bleating with joy after eating cherries from a particular bush. He took these cherries to the local Imam who laughed at him and threw them on the fire. The delightful smell of the roasting beans drew the Imam back to the fire and after some experimentation, coffee drinking was born. The coffee is grown at altitudes between 1340 and 1830 meters, is dry processed and lightly roasted to give a mellow flavour with distinct notes of fruit wine and spice.
Best brewed in a cafetiere or filter.
